Me singing and playing 'it will rain' on the piano. I learnt it a few days back - by ear and with a lil help from youtube - so don't expect it to be perfect haha. Taken a few weeks back at Trixie's place. The quality is kinda shitty though hahahahaha.

Yes, I didn't go for the camp at friggin' Taman Negara(I didn't even know that place existed......) and my excuse was: I am not a camp person.

I came back from last year's camp half-alive so ya'll can pretty much guess why I hate camps so much. Even if the camp was hellllllla fun, I'd still prefer sleeping in my own home, on my own bed than staying in some other place... especially in a cave. I don't wanna sound bimbotic and all(I think I already do hahahaha) but ya la hahaha if you've been a reader for a long time, you should know me well hehehe even my teachers were like, "Why never camp ah Carrine? Allergic to the sun again?"

Anyway for the first day we spent the whole damn day in school doing stupid nonsense, at least we were in the cabin('the lodge') with super cold air-conditioning. Watched weirdo movies and all. On the 2nd day we went to Sungei Buloh. I bet you've never heard of that place right?!?!?! It's a wetland reserve or something hahaha so animals there are living in their natural habitats. I didn't get to see squirrels haissssssssss they are so cute! Lotsa pictures at the bottom!!

And today(the third day), we went to changi beach(at east coast park?? hahaha where I had my primary 5 obs camp) and we were supposed to pick up litter. We were separated into 2 large groups so the other group went to the other side and did alot of cleaning whereas the area of my group had no friggin litter at all lor. The moment we found a spot to rest all of us sat there, had snacks/drinks/ice-cream(super overpriced by the way) and talked until the buses came to fetch us back to school hahahaha.

So we went back to 'the lodge'(my school like to act high class with these kinda names ah) and since today's the 29th of February we watched the movie "The Leap Year"? I swear 3/4 of us were lying on the floor sleeping. Including me hahaha.

This entry's going to be filled with lotsa pictures taken from yesterday hahahaha so yep last night met Aq and we went to Tampines to chill and walk around for abit then we headed to City Square to meet the 2 crazy girls. We initially wanted to dine at Seoul Garden but we ended up at Pizza Hut instead hahahaha I swear for some really lame reasons we were running around the whole mall like crazy people, hitting each other with our hips and knees, super hilarioussssss. We went to the sky park after that.

Oh and common test is finally over!!!! I PASSED MY FREAKING MATH BABY. 22/40 hahaha never in my whole secondary school life have I passed my math common test. I even topped the class/lvl for Chemistry with Weiming hah, something to be proud of. F*ck all of you who've looked down on the both of us.

P/S: Was dressed super casually today cuz our dress code was t-shirt and shorts only HAHAHA.

Leting's birthday celebration!

I know I haven't been blogging much. My humanities common test is tomorrow and ughhdjshkjalk I am so afraid of failing it.. even though I know I've studied enough for it. Like everyday and night must revise and recap in my own head. Even on public transports I try to do mental revisions and I receive glares from people... I bet they think I'm some sort of psycho, talking to myself wtf.

Anyway, some pictures taken yesterday, celebrating my awesome friend Leting's birthday in advance.
It is also my dad's birthday(we went to celebrate at night hehe) and wow, when we're growing up, we often forget that our parents are also growing older as well, so cherish the time you spend with them because they can't be there with you forever... right? :/

So we went to town to have this si bei bo hua(soo not worth it) lunch at Seoul Garden. I mean the food's not bad lah but we could've gone on a weekday and get the student price lor hais so we spent over a $100 in total. At least we had fun!!! We took those gross-looking food and played games, whoever loses has to eat 'em hahahaha. After that Py and I kinda lied to the birthday girl that we had to go and meet someone for a bit, and that we'd meet them later on at Scape, but we went to 313 to customize a cake for her hehehe. So we surprised her but we also took the extra colourful cream for customizing the cake to.. you'll know when you see the pictures later :P It was a long day and I was really guilty that I didn't study at all but oh well, I soooooo needed that break!

So....... Happy Valentine's Day to whoever that's reading this. I was initially going to title this post as "Happy #ForeverAlone Day" but nah I don't think all of you should feel alone on this day. SINGLES UNITE! Hehehe if you're feeling down/depressed, seeing cute couples here, there, everywhere... turn that frown upside down because helloooooooooooooo I'm single as fuuuuuuuuuck. 41st day of 2012, I feel like I'm drifting away from some of the people I'm pretty close to and it's only February. Can things get better already? Common Test is in a week's time so I'm going to study like crazy (noon to late at night kind of crazy) with my girls for almost everyday.

Anyways, met Alex after school today and we walked over to SingPost to have our super healthy lunch-cum-dinner at Subway, hahaha. They should really create a name for lunch + dinner man, like how they call breakfast + lunch brunch...? Dunch? Linner? Okay I'm so lame.

Had long h2h talks... We were sharing about our pathetic f/s & r/s lives. Hahaha and he was giving me the #foreveralone face like:

I wish time could just stop or slow down but time doesn't wait for anybody. Siiiiiiiiigh, this month's gonna be pretty hectic for me. Studying, studying and more studying. Gotta find time for myself to just read, breathe, practice the piano and relax. The way I'm coping with stress for the past month is really bad. Can anybody teach me how to de-stress? Funny movies, books, awesome songs..? Anything.

It's like the 37th day of 2012 and it's like I can feel the weight of everything on my shoulders already asdfhgdkfhadlfhdalkja.

Anyways, random blog post because I thought maybe, just maybe ranting a quarter of my thoughts might help relieve a little stress but... nah. Plus I'm waiting for my hair to dry hahaha. We're going to have a whole bunch of study dates to come(we've planned 'em already, meeting each other almost everyday to study-udy-udy) since our common tests are in 2 weeks time. You don't see us being like this in 2010 and 2011, huh? I am so damn determined to get good grades this time.

It's really nice to know that when people talk about me, it's not, "Whoa d'you know that Carrine Low *insert bad stuff here hahahaha* today/yesterday/last week/500 years ago?" any more. I really hate how people judge me without getting to know me!! One bad impression and it seems like everyone knows your whole life story.

Anyway from what I've heard, people were saying, "Whoa, d'you that Carrine Low has changed? (best sentence of the lot)" "Whoa, did you know that Carrine Low handed in her homework today?" (I complete my homework everyday before I touch the laptop hor) "Whoa, did you know that Carrine Low scored *insert good grades* for her *insert subject* test?!" "Whoa, did you know that Carrine Low said sorry after she accidentally knocked into me today?" etc. etc.

I really left horrible first impressions to some people, huh? I know made a huge improvement as I compare my sec 1 self to how I am now. I didn't give a shit about my studies(I am still wondering how the fuck did I managed to pass and remain in the express stream), yet now the only thing I'm stressing about is regarding my studies. Whenever I knock into someone by accident I'd "tsk" the person even though it's really my fault. Whenever I fail a test(#FOREVERFAILINGIN2010), I'd be like, "HAHA wtf you scored so high for what? Lame. I got F9 sia! *happy happy*" (why didn't anybody shoot me when I was in sec 1?) Hahaha so I am glad that I'm thinking about my future and all already. Even though I am still freaking lazy to queue up to buy my whatever in the canteen during recess............... I am so much nicer to people in my school now hahaha.

AND when people whom I don't know talk to me online(twitter), instead of, "You are? -_-" or ignoring them, I reply them nicely and guess what, I made some cool new friends doing that hahaha. If I found out that they're some weird pedophile or whatever I can just ignore/block them. So yeah if you're a follower on Twitter, tweet me, I'll try my best to reply everyone.

Anyways, shan't make this entry wordy. Met Michelle today for a study date at Starbucks, headed home early to get ready for a family dinner at Simei. We went there to have our dinner because my grandfather was only allowed to be out of the hospital for 2 hours and the place was close to the hospital. He couldn't even recognised me today. Ouch. But I can't blame him 'cuz he's 90 this year. Nonetheless I had fun joking around with my relatives tonight.☺

Wow, a month has passed already. Time passes by so quickly, it's scary. January was a month full of lots of mixed emotions. I can't say that I am truly happy yet. I am still waiting for the best day of my life to happen. Most of us are anyway, still young lah right? Oh well, school is getting harder but I'm still keepin' on.

Anyway, it's February already. One of the 'highlights' of this month is Valentine's Day. I'm going to be #foreveralone on V Day as always. You? Hehehe it's okay if you're single, I know I have my awesome friends to spend that stupid day(not so stupid if I'm attached and all but whatever~ hahahaha) with me though. You can snuggle up in your bed with your laptop and watch "The Notebook", "Dear John", "A Walk To Remember".. etc on that day too. Ok that was a horrible advice it's probably going to make you feel more alone on V Day but always look on the bright side!!!!! (that's what my broken-hearted friend one told me)

Sometimes, I give my friends advice and tell them to be happy... blah blah blah... but I can't even solve my own problems and be happy myself. Hah.

So, how was your first day of Chinese New Year guys? :)
Mine, compared to last year and the year before... wasn't that great. Le sigh.

I remember being all hyped up for CNY when I was little, my mom would dress me up and my cousin would help me tie like a million braids on my head... my relatives and grandparents would tell me that I look like Jolin Tsai HAHAHAHA. Ahhhhh.. those days.

Anyway, I woke up on the first day realizing that - being the klutz I am - I forgot to switch on the plug when I was charging my phone the night before. Then things started going not-so-well... but everything was good when we went visiting. Thank goodness.

Not much photos were taken but I'll update all the pics I have in another post, I guess? At night my cousins and my brother and I went to catch the movie "The Viral Factor". It is a super action-packed movie full of fighting, gun shots and all, but I... surprisingly enjoyed it! Who knew that I'd be into these sort of movies? (Nicholas Tse looks burnin hottttttt with those tatts on his arms by the way!)

So we got home in the middle of the night and ahhhhhhh I was dead tired. Day 1 could've been better though. I remember winning $200+ when gambling with my cousins and uncles/aunts in 2010. I lost over $70 last year!! But this year I only won 8 pathetic dollars hahaha oh well, better than nothing!!

My angpaos were much lesser (quantity & amount) than the previous years... but I really can't complain. I mean, if I were to be married and I have to bao like 100 ang paos for all the kids ah... god. I hope next year's CNY would be better, though I don't really expect much of CNY anymore, sadly.

Don't know about you all but... I'm not feeling the CNY mood yet! It's one of my favourite holidays(albeit a short one)... but I'm just not feeling it!! Maybe the older I get the less enthu I'll be for these kind of occasions hahahaha. Ahhhhhhh oh well, looking forward to meeting my relatives, reunion dinner... getting red packets(if I tell you I'm not anticipating about that, I'd obviously be lying omg) and nomming on the CNY goodies!! I gotta limit myself on the goodies this time!!

Hi guys, I'm sure most of you reading my blog are secondary school students and you guys must have had your Chinese New Year celebration in school today right? Well mine was... typical...

Okay let's skip the part where I got humiliated by Mr. Lai!! He totally announced my name(with some others) to the whole school asking us to report to our DM hahaha I swear this is soooooo not helping my wanting-to-show-people-that-i'm-completely-staying-out-of-trouble-this-year plan. And I can promise you guys that I did nothing wrong. *cross my heart*

Anyways after school, me and my former classmates(miss them sooooo much) had a little get-together and we caught the movie "We Not Naughty" at Kallang Leisure Park.

The movie was daaaaaaaaaaamn good I swear. 5 out of 5 stars. Jack Neo really did it this time. MUST. WATCH. One of the best local films ever. It was so hilarious and I don't think I've ever laughed so hard watching a movie. Plus you get to learn morals/little life lessons from it. Boys you should really watch it because you guys might SPOILER ALERT learn to appreciate your mother more.

Oh and today, it was one of my classmates' birthday and my teacher was like, "Whoa, see, you are usually quiet in class but today you are so hyper.. *about to start her boring lecture*" until I told her, "It's his birthday today!" and she said something which I thought was pretty true.

"Number 1, on your birthday, THANK YOUR MOTHER. Today is not totally about you you know. It can be a torturous day for your mother as well. So thank her." Thank her for bringing you into this world. Thank her for everything.

"Number 2, on your birthday, BE THANKFUL THAT YOU'RE STILL HERE." (I forgot what she said after that lah so I'm going to add a bit of words from yours truly hahahahahaha) Because there are also people who weren't able to make it to 2012. So be grateful.

And..... my mind went entirely blank 1 second ago. I guess I only remembered the important things she said lah but yeah, just thought I'd share this with you guys.

Sup everyone. Day 13 of 2012; 9th Day of School: Shitty as ever. I feel like killing myself. I really want to do well and ~~get the fuck out of there~~ graduate. But the rules are pissin' me off I mean whaaaaaaaaaaaaaat????! No black-brown coloured contacts? "Mine have degree okay." "So?" "So I can't see clearly." "Then good lah." I was THIS CLOSE --> <--- to punching you in the face.

Anyway, I've been doing a LOT of revision and homework during detention nowadays(7 more days to go #prayforcarrine), which is a good thing. I must stay motivated. I must be determined. *slowly breathes in and out*

So after detention today(we got to left early to register for our IC stuff), was waiting for Pingswen's text so I sat under one of the void decks opposite school with Jeremy - who was waiting for a friend as well - like typical young punkszzxzxzxzxzx and talked about lots of hilarious/serious nonsense. One of my bestest guy friends, that faggot.

Met Pingswen and we had S♥gurt! And we literally walked around Parkway afterwards. Singapore is so small all of my friends and I are sorta running out of place to go!!! SIGH. Anyhoo, I got the lip balm I've been eyeing on for quite a period of time from Maybelline and I got a new book! We kinda spammed photos so yep the quality is meh but the iPhone photo apps with the effects and all..... whoa bless you Apple.

I had to make the picture damn small because hais the quality of the inner cam can be quite shitty sometimes.

So I got bored during Geography class... I swear, 3 lessons and my teacher hasn't even gone through ONE slide(of her powerpoint nonsense). *rolls eyes*

School has been really nerve-racking, even though the people who see me can't really tell but... a smile hides a lot.

What I've been up to lately... hmmm... I met Aiqin today(missed her so much, she's one of the VERY few people I could tell my problems and all to..) and I got my pink screen protector and she got her iPhone!! Gotten over the first week of school. Finally. NOT looking forward to Monday though. The new principal, vice-principal, the new system in school and the new rules... Wow. 1 word: Shit. I even got threatened with expulsion for fuck's sake. Well, kick me out before the level camp please. Why is that shit compulsory anyway?

Ufffffffgh kill me now. The new vice-principal even threw away all my favourite studs(my fucking $$$$$...). Screw secondary school rules man, I don't see how the colour of my hair, the length of my skirt/socks or the number of piercings I have could affect my studies. I completed all of my freaking homework and I even did a freaking mindmap for studying purposes and DIY-ed a notebook for school today. LOL a total shocker to my friends and family but I'm really serious about the wanting-to-prove-people-wrong thing. But I can't help but to bend the attire rules. Because they are ri-di-cu-lous. And if the school wants to kick out all the pupils who wants to go against the rules so be it, that means they'd be kicking out half of the entire cohort, good luck *inserts new principal & vice-principal's name(what are their names again?)*

Hi to my ugly naked face in school.

Okay so I'm really tryna keep up with fulfilling one of my 2012 resolutions by blogging almost daily, so why not blog about school? I realize that I've never really been blogging 'bout what's going on in school and all(because sometimes there is really nothing to blog about) so I shall just update on the first day of school for the sake of updating. And of course remembrance for the future. Hehehe. I had a hard time falling asleep because I've been sleeping really late at night for the past 2 months and waking up in the noon so it's difficult for me to "switch" back my body clock, I only had 2 hours of sleep so my eyebags were horrendous. It was great seeing all my friends in school again though, especially seeing my guy friends in long pants now. :P

Had a hard time deciding whether to give the morning assembly a miss or not hahaha it was so bloody humid but I went with Aiqin anyway since it's the first day. And I totally regretted dyeing my hair back to black!! My friends freaking went to school with orange hair and they didn't f*cking get caught !#@%$^@&!(*#!)@ How can?!?!

Anyway, not going to go into details about what we did and the lessons we had. Just felt kinda... offended by the fact that my class is being frowned upon by some people. Yeah, I'm in the last express class. But it's just that we're not strong in one stupid subject, which is mathematics. And the freaking system even put those people who got F9 for maths in the second and third best class, so why judge?

Anyway, I've started taking down notes and stuff and paying attention in class. I'm being seated right in front of the teacher's table(because my teacher didn't want me to use my handphone wtf) but I'm thankful anyway because that way I can listen and learn better. And I am not being sarcastic thanks. Gonna tryyyy to attain maybe slightly better-than-average results and prove to those judgemental + stereotypical people in school that girls with skirts more than 3 fingers above their knees, pupils with more than a pair of piercing, socks that are not above their ankles, coloured hair or long fringe, can ACTUALLY study.

Most teachers look at me and they automatically think that I'm in the NA or NT stream. When they go to my class and see me in an Express class, they go, "Are you sure you're in the right class" blah blah blah. What's with the stereotyping seriously, I thought you guys were supposed to be the mature adults? Guess not.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DAMN. A year has passed already, in a blink of an eye, today's the 1st of January 2012. I can still remember what it was like 365 days ago vividly. Anyway, I spent my ending of 2011 and the start of 2012 well and I'm so happy!! I hope all of you are happy too, stay happy and healthy always, I always say that because being happy and healthy are most important!!! Hehehe. Now... I'm lookin' forward to CNY. :P

Anyways, I had a really enjoyable time with my classmates today. I'm sooooooo gonna miss the lot of them who aren't going to the same class as me, sigh. Nonetheless I know that we'll definitely keep contact and hang out all the time. Hate how the school system works sometimes really, when we were sec 1 we didn't really know each other that well, we started being close and all when we were sec 2 and now that we're moving on to sec 3, they separate all of us into different classes. HAIS.

Woke up in the noon(as usual omfg I really need to start waking up in the mornings man how am I gng to survive my first day of school), prepared and all, Rachel came to my place and we headed over to meet the guys. Played cards and all whilst waiting for the rest to arrive. We started bbq-ing early and yep hahaha had lotsa fun. Drank and all, my face turned supa red. Jeff was the drunkard ass of the day, we even pushed him into the pool(I'll upload the video asap mehehehehe). Sadly karma bit me back in the ass and I got pushed into the pool too. MULTIPLE TIMES, MIND YOU!!! And I can't believe some of them asked my dad to buy us alcohol omfgggggggg LOL.

So we played games and ate non-stop (yumzzzzzz), some of the people gotta leave early and yea. Sadly the lights went off at 10pm :( But I got us candles and all, we sat in a big group by the pool, lit up the candles(thank you apple for inventing the flash for the iphone) and had lots of fun talking!!!!!! We exchanged ghost stories...(I AM SLEEPING WITH THE LIGHTS ON TONIGHT BTW) we talked about 2012 which scared the fuck outta me. Thinking about it gives me the creeps already. I was like "Omg I don't wanna die in 2012 I WANNA GET MARRIED AHHHHHHHH..." Really, can somebody tell me if the world is ending or not? Because I don't wanna spend the last year of my life studying hahaha.

And lastly we reminisced about how we were like when we were in sec 1. I was like omfg I was such a bitch you guys must be so annoyed but they didn't blame me hehehehe awwwww ♥ Thank god I've grown up and I think I'm much more mature now compared to how I was like in 2010. Had so much fun talking about all the weird memories we had. Then we started counting down(we got it on video by the way!).. I think we woke everyone in my condo out hahahaha people were coming out to their balconies looking at what the commotion was about and we were yelling Happy New Year to them as well. Hehehehe I had such a great time and I'm thankful that I spent the end of 2011 and the start of 2012 with such amazing friends and not a few people with a whole bunch of strangers at town or whatever that is crowded as hell. Group hug before we went our separate ways. :')

Okayyyyyyyyy just gonna keep this short guys. Met Mateen and his friend Martina(who's gorgeous by the way) in the afternoon, got our brows done and then Mat & I headed to meet Alex. Off to town, Mateen got his haircut and we had our lunch at 313. Alex decided to be a cool cat and made everyone stare at him because he kinda made his chair(made of steel so you can imagine how loud the sound would be) fell onto the ground. Anyway, went over to Bugis after that, met Amy(another nice and really pretty girl omfg *feels inferior*) and we went for sheeshaaaaaa. So yep that's about it? I freakin' love Chinese New Year. Not just because of the red packets and the yummy goodies but because I get to meet my relatives(my cousins are the besssst) too.
I love reading. One of my 2012 new year's resolution is to read 100 books.
I enjoy writing and drawing sometimes.
I hate it when people label me as an ah lian. (i really freaking do, mind you)
I am horrible at maths and during my last mathematics exam I was on the verge of tears because I was so stressed out and looking at all the stupid f*cking numbers and letters just makes me dizzy.
I used to be good in Chinese(primary school days) but now my mandarin is horrendous. A part of me will blame my teacher because she is always favouring the smarter students all the time and nobody understands how the fuck I feel, which is why I'm always skipping CL lessons(it's tedious as fuck anyway).
Note that I've given up on trying to make 'fuck' less crude by typing it as 'f*ck'. Fuck it.
I love music, I sing and play the piano.

I'm perfectly fine with the people around me smoking and all, it's pretty normal, just don't hold on to that cigarette and tell me that you wanna try to quit smoking.

Spent the day with Laura today, missed her so much! I remember we used to meet each other almost everyday when we were in sec 1(ahhhhh those days..) and this year we met like once a week. Wish we would get to meet up more next year but I'm sure we'd be really busy with school and stuff, now that I'm actually going to work hard, hope we would have time for each other!! She promised to help me out in my studies(especially maths omg me + maths = worst combo ever).

In the evening we read our old 2008 - 2010 blog archives (hidden somewhere, NOT going to tell you guys because it's sooooo embarrassing hahahaha) and laughed like crazy omg there's this picture of us when we were in P5.......... I don't even wanna talk about it. Poor Jamien who is recovering from his operation last week came and join us at the clubhouse with his crutches because I told him I got KOI for him, which was a lie, heh heh heh. Time flies so quickly huh, in a blink of an eye the new year's coming already!!!

Which is why I changed lah, because c'mon, put yourselves in someone else's shoes and mull over for once, what if you were the one being called fat/ugly/stupid/whatever? I know people will be all like, "Go ahead and say whatever the fuck you want about me IDGAF." But deep down, you DO care, because words hurt. I even blogged about this before and shared one of my experiences here.

So, I pity those people who leave anonymous hate comments on people, because that simply shows how insecure they are about themselves, so much to the extent of desperately trying to hurt someone just to make them feel better about themselves. That's just sad. The new year's coming, with any luck, I hope people would start to change for the better. Let's not regret our pasts because our pasts - be it a dreary one or not - made us stronger. Met up with Trixie, Hazel & Laural for lunch at Tampines(Ajisen as usuaaaaaaaaal) and here are some pictures taken with Laural's DSLR! Hopefully my friends from my primary school and I will get to meet up at least once a month next year!! 2012 is quite a crucial year for me so really, no more nonsense from me man.

Red pill or blue pill?

You take the blue pill, the story ends; you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe.

You take the red pill, you stay in wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes.

If you were given a choice and you only have 15 seconds to make a decision, which pill would you take?

I tend to do a lot of things on impulse. If I were to be really upset and mad over some things that has affected me greatly and was given these pills to choose from, I'd pick the red one and I wouldn't even hesitate. Whenever somebody f*cks with my mind I tend to be really certain of some things and at that moment, nothing can change my decision because I am hard-headed like that.

Why the red pill? The answer is simple. Because I want(or maybe need) to escape. It is just like questioning me if I would want to pick between living in a blissful fantasy or a cruel reality. I like to fantasize about things that would probably never happen in a million years. I always get my hopes up this year and expect the best in everything, and what did that led me to? Nothing but endless disappointments. Another thing to add to my new year's resolutions list: "Hope for the best. Just don't expect it."

We all wish we could live in the world we've always imagined of, where everything is perfect, no lies, no hurt, no fake people, nothing bad. But everytime we're done wishing, we're forced to go back to reality. And reality can be a bitch sometimes. Even if you ask me to pick between the two pills at the happiest point of my life, I would still be hesitant in taking the blue one because everything is THAT realistic, so realistic that I would rather spend the rest of my life in a illusory fantasy world.

O well, I honestly think that I've definitely matured a lot comparing when I was in sec 1 and now I'm soon-to-be sec 3! Damn..... time flies. So yup, hopefully I won't fail miserably this time, 2012 please be nice!

1. Be nicer to people. Like... be a LOT friendlier to people - not that I'm not friendly already but you know what I mean - especially the people in school.
2. Do not skip MT class or any other class, that is, no matter how tedious lessons are.

Life has been uninteresting... Trying to save up on cash and I'm evidently failing miserably. Can anybody give me tips on saving $$ please? Because it seems like I can't stop spending. Even when I coop myself up at home and tell myself "okay, today, I will not spend any money", I can't seem to resist all the pretty stuff online. This year's a pretty vital year for me because I've finally grown out of my "immature shell" and I'm starting to see things clearly now. I gotta admit, I was a total bitch last year. I was horrible to the people I didn't like, the people I didn't even made the effort to know. I didn't give a shit about my grades, I merely passed and I was really close to dropping to the NA stream. And I know that if I did, I would definitely regret it.

Anyways, I've been promoted to Sec 3 Express next year! Well, to the last class of course, the only class without having to take A Maths, which is a huge relief for me because if I ever took that subject, I think I would cry. HAHAHA no seriously, I've been struggling with Math ever since I was 7 so even if I were to be in the last Express class - nothing to be proud of, by the way - I'd be glad because, hello? No extra Math subject. Plus, it's really stressful anyway.

Okay back to the point:

So, I realized that we take too many things for granted sometimes. We're teenagers, we never stop wanting things. It's like after you get a phone, you'll want a camera, and then you'll want a laptop, then you'll want a new phone, then a new camera...... We never stop. It's like, okay, iPhone. I already have an iPhone4, but the freaking iPhone4S just came out, and then I don't appreciate my iPhone4 anymore, because all I want is an iPhone4S, so the 'old' iPhone4 is extraneous now.
Example number 2: My parents. I have a mom and a dad. They nag at me almost everyday. Whenever I'm on the internet, they'll go, "All you do is sit on that computer and play and play and play. Blah blah blah." And whenever I go out and hang out with my friends, they'll go, "Every day go out and play and play and play. Blah blah blah." It's annoying and super frustrating sometimes. But whatever they do - and I know you've heard this a million times already - it's for your own good.

I know that, because everytime if my dad's free to fetch me to wherever when I'm about to go out with my friends, he will always remind me: "Don't mix around with bad company, ok?" Trust me, he NEVER fails to remind me that. I get annoyed sometimes, sometimes on the inside, I'm like "Oh my god yes I fucking get it! I won't, I won't!" But everything happens for a reason, right? So he must be reminding me that for a reason, and the reason is last year... YA LA, 'XIAO AH LIAN' PHASE OK? Don't wanna elaborate much about it! I thought I was so freaking cool... wearing stupid blue contact lenses to school... creating super nonsensical trouble for people who obviously didn't deserve it, getting into a really irrelevant + avoidable trouble with the police... K. So of course my dad didn't want me to turn from bad to worse right? Letting me go out everyday is already a huge risk for him already, I could be going out smoking, taking drugs, getting into fights, blah blah blah, I remember him telling me "Smoking is not good, you know that right? Don't smoke. I quit smoking because of you and ah ma. Don't smoke ok?" last year. So reminding me not to go back to who I was before every day, is probably why I am writing this post today. If not I think I'd be writing a post against another xiaolian saying "Not happy come only la ccb knn nbcb pui." HAHAHAHAHA.

FYI I still swear a lot though. And you can't blame me because my dad is supaaaa foul-mouthed! Like daddy like daughter! Hmmm. And every mom/every dad always wants the best for their kids, trust me.

So don't take your parents' good intentions for granted, appreciate them. Take some time to really look at your parents, and be thankful for the fact that they are still here with you, be freaking thankful for the fact that you are here because of them. And I honestly can't wait for the day for me to tell my parents, "Okay, mom and dad, you don't have to work anymore, I can support you guys now. Thank you for everything you've done for me."

And to those who have really strict parents whom always restrict you from going out with your friends, don't worry, your freedom will come because even I can't stay out too late. Remember, they worry for you and instead of wishing you could go out with your friends you can actually try spending more time with your parents, bake cookies/cupcake with your mom while you still can. I wish I could though, my mom is so busy all the time.

So yeah, moral of the whole freaking story: Don't take anyone/anything for granted. Cherish what you have when it's still there, before it's gone for good. And this is a super wordy post...........

Anyway, I just want to share this and hope whoever's reading this might learn something from this and start appreciating the things around you. Wtf I just used "this" 3 times in a sentence. Oh well, if you didn't then yay you kinda just wasted 3 -5 minutes of your life reading a pointless post.

So... I'm thinking about updating my blog almost daily when school reopens, like "1st Day of School", "2nd Day of School", you know, to pen down whatever's happening for future remembrance and also to keep this blog alive! I've the app for blogging on my iPhone anyway!

Okay so... I've been going out and spending lots of money lately. Life has been pretty interesting but also god damn mundane at times....... oh well. Had steamboat dinner with Peiying and Leting yesterday and we went to chillllllllllllllax at the beach at night, love the cool weather but I hate seeing people with spooky silhouettes at night!

Few days back I went to town with Alex, Adnen, Stella and Mateen. We had our lunch at Pastamania, walked around and stuff, Mateen got his ears pierced(y'know guys with those circular black studs? yup it's friggin sexyyyyy) and he left early, we bought tix to watch "Already Famous"(it was just a 'meh' movie, the only thing funny abt watching this movie is Alex's loud ass laughter when he was sitting beside me trololololol) but before that, we went to check out the flea @ Scape.

(warning: long rant ahead)
SO, Alex bought this bracelet thingy for himself and Stella was trying on a bracelet but she put it back. She did place it back. But all of a sudden, I've no idea why, the bracelet just disappeared or something, so the old auntie(she's from china btw) was like "I don't care, you guys find it, or else I'll call the police." UGH, we were all bloody annoyed. We told her to check our freaking bags and she was like "Nonono, call police." So we were like CALL LA? She didn't even know how to call the freakin police!!!! Adnen was like pushing his phone to her and helping her call 999 and shit like that but she seemed reluctant, god knows why. So the security came and they checked Stella's bag and they were like, "Auntie, bo leh? You got see her take the thing or not? Then?" The old bitch was still going on about "I don't care what you do I just want the bracelet back." And that really pissed Alex off 'cuz he was being really loud and the people over there were like O.O LOL. The workers even told us that the auntie just wanted to cheat our money because other people are earning $ but she's not. The bracelet was $7 by the way -_- In the end the security brought us to the back and let us off, they told us that it was the 3rd or 4th time that the old auntie accused ppl of shoplifting at her shit stall already. Wtf. Keep a look out at her stall okay, it's the one selling tribal-like bracelets, they're all piled up in a messy order on the table and her stall is near toastbox, PLEASE DON'T BUY FROM HER, and do throw her insults anytime.

OKAY... moving on...

Went to Tampines with Pingswen today and I got new clothes, a new bag, a new pair of shoes and I re-pierced my tragus. Mehehehe. I'm pretty contented with my buys BUT, that means..... I'm friggin broke once again. I think I'm only left with 20 bucks in my wallet(oh yea I've got a new red wallet!! hehehe my brother got it online for my birthday)... 20 pathetic fucking dollars. :(

And I honestly think I've gain A LOT OF WEIGHT this holidays. UGH. I think I'll probably join a sporty cca next year (badminton yes/no)... need to lose weight need to lose weight NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT. Can't stand my fat face/arms/thighs/calves/everything. Super self-conscious everytime I wear a sleeveless top when I go out. SIGH, story of a fat girl's life.

Braces.

Tada the long-awaited(or not) "braces" post!!!! Hahahaha the most frequently asked question: DOES IT HURT?!!!?

The answer is.................................... no. I personally find it painless. Only when I got it tightened(especially when I just got it done), when I clench my teeth together or bite on something hard, it'll feel really sore, but it doesn't really.. hurt. Different people have different perspectives and we all have different pain tolerance levels so.... ya.

Some of you(especially my friends/schoolmates) are asking me, "Why you wanna have braces!?!? Your teeth so straight already!!!" And my answer is................ a gigantic ass NO LOR.
I've a hideous vampire tooth(explains the way I smile with my mouth opened sometimes) plus I've this extra tooth growing on top as well. Means when it grows out or something I'm going to look like a vampire with big gaps in my teeth and I'll be super self-conscious about it because everytime I look at pretty girls with perfect teeth my self-esteem just drops like crazy, and it's not even high to begin with. Some of you are wondering why did I get my braces so quickly, it's like one day I tweet about it and the next day I'm going for my first appointment already. Well, credit goes to my parents. I showed them how my teeth reaaaally looked like and their reactions?

Mum: Y SO CROOKED!?! TMR ASK PAPA BRING YOU TO DENTIST FASTER PUT BRACES FASTER PUT BRACES!
Dad: LOOK LIKE DRACULA.

-_- So yea.

Anyway, it has been almost 3 months ever since I got my braces done!! Whoa so fast! I'm getting my bottom braces done in two weeks or so. Time to explain why was I in the hospital yesterday. Yes, I had to go for an operation. Sadly for me(sigh I don't know why I so suey, really, I think I commit too much sins in my prior life), when I went for my first appointment at the orthodontist, I had to get pictures/x-ray/mould taken and stuff. And the x-ray showed this fucking tooth lying horizontally below my bottom set of teeth. FUCK SO SUEY RIGHT WALAU I was like, "HOW THE HELL DID IT GET THERE?!" And then the assistants assured me that it's normal 'cuz many people are like this too and they have to go for an operation or something(I bet they're just using lies to comfort me only!). I was literally shaking and I swear I almost cried 'cuz I've never been through an operation let alone a teeny weeny surgery. Scary shit and for the past 2 and a half months I was worrying like crazy. Anyway, I got my top braces done and it takes time getting used to it. I was really afraid to smile and show people my metal mouth in school but now I'm fine with it already, everyone's used to me with braces now as well.

Ok so brace yourselves(no pun intended) for disgusting pictures of my 'before' teeth. TOLD YOU IT WAS HIDEOUS.

I had 2 teeth removed before I got these brackets done by the way. And no it doesn't hurt at all. I only felt a slight pinch because of the injection to numb my gums but yea it was pretty tolerable.

After putting in the wire and the colour bands LOL WTF SO UGLY SIA ...

I just realized the pictures taken are super unglam but oh well at least I'm sharing it with you all right?!

Yay! After the stupid lil tooth on top grows out fully I can put on the brackets on it and have fairly straight teeth already. You can tell how much it has improved, right?!

Okay so about yesterday, I woke up at 6 in the morn and reached the hospital at 6.45 or something, got some registrations and stuff done and ugh, the hospital is really a scary place to be. I was so damn afraid lah I even thought of writing a note on my laptop writing dedications to people in case I died or something LOL. So I changed into the hospital gown(unglam si ren I swear cannot wear anything inside plus it's like 'split-back'?! go google for yourselves!) and got pushed into god knows where, before I got sent into the operating theatre. My mom was with me and she was like "fun hor?" the whole time wtf and the nurses asked if she wants to be in the operating theatre with me and she said yes. I bet she was just kaypo!!!!!!!! Hahaha she held my hand while I was injected general anaesthetic though 'cuz I was shivering and I don't know if I was trembling 'cuz of fear or 'cuz it was so bloody cold. And I remember vividly that I yawned 1001 times lor my mom and the really nice nurses thought I was crying but nah I'm not that weak lah HAHAHA. So the last thing I remembered in the theatre was the doctor telling my mom, "We're going to put her to sleep now ok..." and I felt something rush through my veins and the next thing I know was that I was back on the hospital bed. I slept for hours though, the nurses gave me ice water/milo and ice-cream hehehe and after my dad made payment or something I'm good to go home!!!!!!!!! So yea that's my first hospital/operation experience and I thought I'd pen it all down here in case I forgot about it and want to read all about it again.

Anyway, pain is temporary. These 3 words have kept me going whenever I'm feeling super miserable for no reasons at night. These 3 words are what I've been reminding myself before I was sent into the operating theatre. People can make you sad/unhappy but only you yourself can make yourself truly miserable. So if you're going through a really tough time right now just keep on keeping on!!!!! PAIN IS TEMPORARY. And it'll all be over some day. I promise it gets better and it'll all be okay in the end, 'cuz if it's not okay it's not the end.

See this? It's replaced with a plaster now. PAIN IS TEMPORARYYYYYYYYYYY.

Woke up in the morning and I did NOT feel like P. Diddy. So tired! If I'm awake anytime before noon during the holidays, it is always counted as e-a-r-l-y. PY and LT came to my place and we did lotsa nonsense before taking the cab to Marina Barrage it was so bloody hot lor we all went home TANNED like fuck by the way! Played Monopoly Deal(thanks Laura!!) and ate and ate and ate. PY taught us how to eat bread with Lays potato chips omg best combo ever. Aiqin and Michelle came and we took lotsa pictures and aiya we had lotsa fun!!!! In the evening we witnessed a super sweet proposal, there's a big ass kite with a heart and "MARRY ME" + "*girl's name*" at the bottom wtf. *envy* Went home(AQ left early D':) and my dad bought me a b'day cake from Awfully Chocolate and yup!!!
